This is a rebuild of my much loved blown up last board with slight spec modifications .
2.7 long
76 wide
160 litres ???
10mm V at front with 5mm double concaves blending to flat 5mm V at back .
Long flat rocker , 1.2m from back , 1cm front rocker 1.6 m from back. 2mm rear rocker .
Cutouts
13 kg with pads and straps. Solid as an Ox for my 115kg

Colors of a faded 1950s swimming pool.

Cutouts are a lot of extra work , they better do something......
31 kts , here we come

I'm confused, seems too long to be a foil board

Awesome to see finished board ??
Yes I can imagine extra work for cut outs.
And later you can muck around with cut out inserts of different shapes and thicknesses (if you want to crack 32)

^^^
It would be simple to double side tape EVA in the cutouts . They are 20 mm deep now.
I only put in the cutouts because of peer group pressure.
Not a convinced believer.

Looks fantastic, love the colors.
What lay-up did you go for?

Power box is same work.
I regularly use a 55 fin with vengeance and never had a problem . Truth be told , all my good fins are PB.
In all my years , I've never lost a fin or broken a box , so I can't say what's better .
Those nice straps , which they are , the blue inset on one strap as fallen off . No biggie.

Overdone layup
19 kg EPS Blank totally covered in 4 oz glass.
Bottom , 3 mm Divinycell , 2 layers 4 oz glass . Extra patch around fin box on blank , patch of carbon , innegra around fin box under final glass.
Top , 3 mm Divinycell , 2 layers 4 oz all over , Another layer 4 oz glass in front of mast box all the way back . 1 layer of multi directional 4.5 oz from middle mast box to back strap . Carbon , innegra patch under heels and around fin box and nose . 12 oz glass patch over mast box and foot plugs . 4 oz patch over plugs and foot patch area .
Rails , 3 mm HD Eva .
Hand layup overlapping rails .
Total overkill . By a couple kg .
It should smash through chop with gay vengeance

I knew they were making a big mistake going away from the purple
got a '21 V8 still in it's box in the garage, hopefully roll it out tomorrow if I can keep the other half distracted, colour code C1, so no purple, hope it stays together

Make sure you unroll inside to get that once only toxic new unrolling sail smell.

That's okay, the tail cutout makes up for it.

Nice looking construction. Very impressive.

Took it out for its maiden voyage today .

Its like a freight train , big , heavy and fast .
Faster than the one it replaced . The conclaves up front make for a smoother ride .
The cutouts make it a little slower to get planing but make it feel more slippery . It'll easy crack 30. Mabee cutouts are a thing It flies through lulls .
Got 27.6 2 sec today in 8.6 weather and 50 cm pointer .
Being a bit on the heavy side didn't seem to slow it at all.
Totally wrapped .

Yes it did, I witnessed the big thing blast past the old trifin bic techno like I was standing still , the VB was also lovely afterwards too. Cheers
