Denmark along with Serbia are the only true national teams from Europe. - watch the national anthem.

I doubt the Socceroos can do it as the Danes are simply too good but i hope i am wrong.

Our best chance is if someone deliberately hits the ball at one of their arms in the penalty area or does a Hollywood Ronaldo dive to win a penalty

The Ronaldo dive to win a penalty in one of their 3-2 wins was a disgusting act of dishonesty.

Football i am afraid has lost it with ones acting ability now one of the main traits of being a forward.

And VAR has turned the game in to a borderline farce.

What do you mean by "true national teams"? The others are fake ones?

I give us a 50/50 chance. Hrustic needs to start instead of Mooy, hope the full backs don't screw up.

Mooy is arguably the best player this country has produced - amazing ball skills.

Boyle was a big miss but again probably never set foot in the country prior to his debut.

Big claim. Kewel, Viduka, Bresciano and a few others might have something to say about that. Not knocking Mooy, he got his ** together against Tunisia, but he's lost a lot of pace, Hrustic is the future for Socceroos engine room

Please don't listen to anything i have to say again

Super hard working team deserved the win for their spirit alone.

Harry Souttar was immense.

Baccus looked very classy when he came on and a wonderful moment of magic from Leckie

Denmark had no final ball and Eriksen's six corners were floaty and wasteful.

Bring on Argentina.

Awesome effort on the world stage! What a nail biting finish, knowing Tunisia were ahead against second string French team. I'm still recovering, not much sleep.

Not going to happen but the two strikers Duke and McGree i would replace with Baccus and McLaren. McGree is better suited to playing on the left and Baccus is simply a better player than Duke.

Then what do i know after my last prediction.

Baccus was excellent, although a slightly more defensive minded player. I agree, give him a start. Reckon give Hrustic a start, and bring on Mooy later. Can't say I like our chances, but what an occasion... Knock out round against Messi, di Maria and co. Can't wait. Oh, and they should probably rig a five-two...

Chris Sutton prediction....

Argentina v Australia (Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium, 19:00)Australia reaching the last 16 was one of the greatest moments in their football history - the bunting was out in Brisbane and the confetti was out in Canberra. It was great to see.

The Aussies have done brilliantly and I don't want to patronise them, but them getting to this stage is like England winning the World Cup final.

Credit to their boss Graham Arnold for having them so well organised, but they are limited and I don't think they have got any hope of going further at this tournament.

I also don't think they will be partying much when Argentina have finished with them.

I've watched Argentina a couple of times now and, against Poland, it just felt like they were getting their game going.

They could have scored six or seven that night.I've gone big here with my predicted scoreline, but you have to remember it is all or nothing for teams now, so they can't sit back against one of the favourites and protect their goal difference like they do in the groups.

Australia will have to go for it if they go behind and that will leave more space for Argentina to exploit. Sutton's prediction:[/b] 5-0

Hate there chances plus when you got Messi The Goat harassing our defenders for 90 minutes. If Australia can cause a upset, this will be the Holy grail.-come on Aussies

Teams defend too deep generally in their own half spoiling the spectacle.

I much prefer watching the Man.City and Liverpool approach of pressing the opposition high up the pitch.

FIFA needs to pass a new rule that a minimum of TWO PLAYERS be in the opposition half at all times.

Then and only then will i go back to watching the beautiful game.

Pretty darn incredible cup. Entertainment at all levels even for non footy folks. Lots of things going on on and off the field. Records, referee instructions, var, offsides, crowd, setting, mockery, all kinds of reasons to watch, follow, discuss and debate.

Haven't quite digested the final despite watching it a couple of times. What happened during and after consolidated the few preconceived ideas I had about argentina.

It'll be hard to beat but the next one bringing in more countries may lead to even more crazy scenarios.

Thank you soccer! Uh I mean thank you football!

England won the "fair play" award... They could learn something from the Argies, who got the most yellow cards of any team on their way to WC glory. To win WC you have to be both brilliant and dirty. Also, how good to see Messi finally and once and for all prick the ego balloon of C. Ronaldo.
