We could have a trial run for a few months and if it doesn't get used give it a flick, I visit such sites as windsurfing 44 and love the equipment set up and tips section, easy to find and all the info is in that one place.....seriously though google translate comes up with some weired interpretations

Why doesnt someone just write some newbie articles...
www.seabreeze.com.au/Articles/All/Summary.aspx
There is no windsurfing section on this page, yet SUP, Kite and fishing are all covered. Maybe this is why people still post questions???

Then when/if someone posts a question people can be directed to the relevant article.

WTF!!!???? There always was windsurfing articles. Laurie....

It doesn't matter what forum it went in, whether its a new one or general, or GPS or whatever, you're still going to have to SEARCH for what you want. After a year of posts the thing you want won't be at your fingertips,

That's why I suggested sticky topics a few times.

At least for how to get a stuck mast apart, what should I buy as a beginner , a sail rigging tutorial, etc.
The response was that is in the articles section but still requires a search and people new to the site don't know about the articles

Great idea Mark

Maybe there should be a forum to discuss how many forums to have, a forum forum.

But then you would need a forum forum forum to discuss how many forum forums to have

If any of you want to write an article about equipment I will happily publish it on my website, of course you will be credited with writing it. I get quite high in google rankings now and looking at my stats a lot of people come onto it after googleing for advice. For example my downhaul threading article has had far more hits than I would have expected.

The problem with forum equipment articles is they disappear into the depths of the forum like everything else, also you end up with people critisizing your technique or opinions.

Send me an email - redsurfbus@gmail.com if you are interested. In the long run I want to build a resource for beginners through to advanced windsurfers for some of the more technical elements of rigging etc.
