Let's imagine that you suddenly strike those numbers right and Lotto rewarded you with 10 mln in cash.Eventually, you did catch gold fish willing to make your three wishes.
So the first thing you are doing is obviously walking to friendly windsurfing shop. to make an order.
So assuming the cash is not issue now, what will be your choice for dream setup:
1) three boards, what brand and sizes
2) three sails, brand, sizes
3) masts -three- brands and sizes
4) fins-three- fins only, brand and sizes
5) Boom only two- brand and sizes
What will be the best of the best setup for you if money were no issue at all.....
Well, we could even imagine a scenario where everybody interested on SB makes his wishes clearly as describe above, and one-day rich sponsor comes and grants one randomly chosen SB dreamer their complete setup, according to the order exactly. I may even start already writing spam to 100 richest on the planet to come with the money, to make our wish, in exchange for ...say promotional logo printed on the sail, board, and forehead of the lucky drawer.
I don't know who may come first: Bill Gates or Gina Rinehart, but I can promise you that none should even feel at the dent in their fortune while making happy one of us.

Let's be fair, nobody deserves the privilege to be a sponsor more that one of ours.

My personal favorite will be Gina because I could always return the favor by

The providing sailing lesson for family members at our beautiful Gold Coast...
What if your dream set up is more than 3. Well money's not a problem...
Don't even try to trick/aggravate your Gold Fish by requesting 100 more gold fishes in your first wish....angry fish could bite you ...

Your restrictions are too limited, if money wasn't an issue, there wouldn't be any, I'd have a complete shop with all the brands with all the sizes of everything available to me. If money wasn't an issue, I'd never be satisfied with limitations, but that's just me.

Your restrictions are too limited,
No, my intention and reason are completely different.
We could exchange view and learn what people consider the ideal set.
Unfortunately, we all to have to make decisions all the time, choices. You may have only one wife, drive one car at the time, go windsurfing or to work- that a hard one choice, drink beer or vine, write on SB do something useful in your home- vacuum floors or do dishes.
Same with my gear choice.
I am torn constantly by doubts.
1.Board: Isonic or Falcon or RRD? 72L for speed, 97 for everyday sailing. 116 for foiling
2. Sail Reflex or NP or Gaastra? sizes are easy at least - 6.2. 7.0 7.8
3. Mast 100% C but make -?- if there is any better choice that same as sail brand
4.Fins - I am completely lost here- I am not happy so far with anything I tried so far-
and that is why Santa Clause is needed to fork cash for some carbon fins. Good fins are not cheap....
If we could express our wishes here, that poll would also help our wind shop owners to stock the right gear before the season comes.....
Sails- 4.5,5.5,6.5,7.8,8.7
Masts- suit above same brand
boards- RB/SLW, 125ltr/foil, 100ltr
Boom- carbon to suit sails
Fins- Tribal WeedSpeed 27,29,33,37
SLW 56 PowerMax/Slalom
Foil.
It it doesn't quite fit the model but it's a difficult question to answer as a millionaire.
Id like a van to put it in too please. Queen bed, shower , toilet kitchen etc
I wouldn't be able to restrict it to 3 of each..![]()

A bigger van and a shed to keep it in. A van big enough to have a comfortable fitout to travel , cook , sleep in but enough area to carry all the kit so you don't have to shuffle things to sleep..![]()

Its not the gear you have but how you use it. I'd spend the money on travelling (business class) to the best windsurfing places around the world, both speed and wave sailing. I'd have a house, van and suitable gear at each location so i didn't have to carry gear on planes.

Sounds great!
I'd still have the same setup as what I have now... the more sails / boards you have the more time you spend on the water wondering if board x would be better right now.

I haven't found that so far but I admit if I was a better sailor I could have less boards..![]()

I think the restriction is perfect. A vans worth of gear, if you like. I'm always trying to be rid of something as soon as I buy a new toy. I read an interview with Robby Naish where he loved having one board and two sails in his truck, keeping it simple. Sure, he was probably trying to sell how great the wind range is on his gear, but still. He is a man who could have the "whole shop" in his truck, but I'm sure he doesn't. Also, I've seen what's in the back of Mr Severnes van, and it isn't every sail and board in his range.

Way too much gear. Macro is right, keep it simple. 3 slalom / speed boards (small, medium, large), 5 cambered sails (5.5 to 8.5), 2 carbon booms (160-210 & 190 - 240), 4 masts (400 to 490). Throw in a 100 lit FSW board with a one or two wave sails (5.7 & 6.5) for fun. Tribal fins. This all fits in one van, with room for a bed. No need for storage in the garage.

Why stop there? Just get a semi so you can keep your sails rigged.
