Given durability is last on the list for those sails (compared to a wave or intermediates step-up sail) I reckon all very similar......?
For me, NS looks best quality.
For example battens connect to sail with 2 wide strap,it is imposible to cut these strap.
All other have tiny 2mm rope wich hold battens ends, ussualy this rope cut when sail touching ground after period of time,I lost few of them on reflex...
vs
If you drag the leech on the ground to the extent you bust that strong dyneema cord I think you are abusing the gear a bit
Race sails are for racing and are not designed to be durable necessarily
I think the breaking strain of that cord on Severne would be just as high as those nylon straps you show on North
You should also consider Simmer as well, excellent construction, materials and finish. You do get what you pay for and cheaper brands are that for a reason. Apart from the ac1 as ive never seen one to comment, all the above brands would be good.
I have a evo 8 and the two pannel above the clew is unglued and i teared. Need repAir.
EVOs are very bad quality.
Maybe best performance but bad quality, must be reason why AA never change sail brand but change boards all the time...
(even if you look at Bjorn, since he leave Neilpryde he has won only one championship-2011)
Robert Stroj is god in sail desing, like Adrian Neway is best in aerodynamics-F1!

No, that is because Bjorn is OLD & the new sailors are better.

AA is also old (only 3 years younger then Bjorn) and still destroy everbody on the tour!Especialy in strong winds.
Still number one.
Except 2016 Matteo won..
+1 for north warps. I'm Still using an F2010 (2010) 9.5m and the monofilm, luff tube, batten pockets and batten adjuster straps are still 80%. The monofilm will probably go brittle before the rest of it wears out. I also have F2012, F2014 and F2016's, all look and feel like they will last years. Race sails are so bloody expensive these days and upgrading them yearly is a no no for most of us, durability is real important. A minimum of four or five years life span should be a realistic target by sail manufactures. I see a lot of race sails looking pretty worn out after just 12-18 months of normal use.
Tushingham sails used to last for ten years+, they built to last, and used to have a solid UK customer because if their durability. Proving durability is a consideration.
just my 2 cents worth
What about a MW sail? Have heard theyre great.....![]()
