The kind of stuff following the 6 min mark in this vid makes my eyes water from laughing.
Twisted hey.
Wont be laughing if it's me next sail though.

Its the walk at 4:20 which gets me. They must be keen.
At one of the UK's best speedspots, The Ray at Southend on Sea its similar. The flat water is created by a mudbank exposed at low tide. But thats only 1/2 mile walk. Never been.
St Johns Lake is similar flat water at low tide from mud banks, I have been, but only 150m walk out. Easy

I was thinking looking at the boards they were using that it looked like an older movie. Any idea what year?

It was uploaded to vimeo 2015. I've got the same sail one of them is using, super cool to see the model in action.

27 Dutch sailors have gone over 40 knots (5*10s average) and 273 over 30 knots this year on www.gps-speedsurfing.com/

I picked 5 sailors at random from the list at 39 mins to see if they have posted a session this year and;
Geesink - yes 34.62
Salomons - yes 36.65
Blanke - yes 34.14 - he is actually German
Malcorps - no, last session was August 2024
Bakker - 36.92

I'd say the majority still are! Jacques, Hans, Peter + few other fast lads still going for it today. How's that crash by Jacques at the brace! He would have to of been doing 46knots plus ! To stack like that and get up like he did was insane

I assume Jacques stack is the first one at 6:05 ?
Hard to tell just what happened, slight lift then the rail buried for some reason on correction attempt?

He is so good, maybe that is just his way of stopping to yarn to camera man Like a boogie boarder nose dives out of the wave.
