Hi , anyone know how to pop the extension release button out on power XT 2 ?
Ive tried the screwdriver into cavity hole like duotone video and put so much pressure on to release - no luck ... feels like Im going to break the clip
I need to get Bottom base out to replace LEAF spring -

the screwdriver trick works, but make sure to use the right size. the clip won't easily break I don't think. perhaps use some lubricant to reduce friction.
I struggled with that but eventually found just the right spot to push. It's a small target, keep trying.
I have 3 of these extensions - Ive tried taking the button out of 2 extensions , and can see now looking in the cavity hole - that the blue clips have both snapped off inside the extension - so now can see straight thru to spring ! ... On the one I haven't touched - can see the blue tab lip ...
The plastic clip must have got brittle and just snapped off with the tiniest force ... not impressed TBH
