Errr... that is, the public holiday on Monday the 2nd...

I lived up there before, on the Gold Coast at Biggera Waters, Brighton Street. It was okay. A couple of things I didn't like were the lack of daylight savings in summer and the number of Poms, Kiwis and Wetbacks there.

I used to rig up in my front yard and carry my gear over to the Broadwater and sail there. I remember it being windy a fair bit but not as good as WA.

Perhaps times are changing.
