Hi Everyone, I'm currently modifying a 12 year old F2 wave board by giving it a modern nose job. I needed some DivinyCell foam (high density PVC foam for Epoxy Sandwich construction) and because it was pretty hard to get my hands on had to buy a whole sheet (about 2m x 1m, 5mm strong), for about $120. Naturally I have heaps left and am happy to share for a very fair price. This stuff is needed for repairing boards where the first foam layer is cracked or for fitting plugz for foot straps, laminating in fin boxes or mast tracks. (see www.boardlady.com). If anyone is interested I will be able to cut pieces to size and post via mail (this stuff is very light). You can drop me an email on jakranz@optusnet.com.au or reply to this post.
Some kiteboards use this as an innercore. If you post the size of the offcut. You maybe able to flog this off as a whole piece, if someone wanted to make their own board.

The remaining size is about 2m x 1m with a corner of a little more than a size A4 paper cut off. I just got the whole sheet from a local Composite supplier as I was unable to buy smaller pieces for the nose modification job of my wave board. There are at least 3 kite boards sizes in it i would think.
I had to buy some for a board repair a while back. Was able to convince the composites supplier to point me in the direction of some of their clients, so popped down to a local catamaran builder and was able to beg a small piece from their scrap bin ![]()
They had shedloads of offcuts so maybe this info will be handy to someone in future.
Not many catamaran builders around here swoosh, but good tip. Wasn't going to ask a board repairer.
Keef, since I had to give the nose a bit more scoop after the chop and exposed quite a bit of EPS I wasn't going to risk to have the glass as the only structure. You may be right though, I realise you have some board building experience and it may have been ok. This is my first job....FYI I have captured some pics of the job.http://picasaweb.google.com/117165990626713700386/NoseJob?authkey=Gv1sRgCM_DtIScleGUCw&feat=directlink
