Adieu my friend. No more windsurfing after work.

I'm glad daylight savings over. Its annoying in the last month we have dawn at around 7am. Even in the depths of winter it rises no later than what it has been in late March and April. Plus there has been bugger all wind in Sydney over the last couple of months means not much late afternoon windsurfing anyway.

Yeah I know this. I used to live on the Gold Coast and in the middle of summer dawn happens around 4am. It was horrible for me as there were palm trees outside my place up there and birds would start squarking really loudly before dawn.

So on the one hand we have the silly situation of the dawn at 7am in NSW in March. On the other hand we have the equally silly situation of dawn at 4am in the middle of summer in SEQ. The only real answer is to try to make your own time zone that makes sense to you.

I don't care that the sun isn't up at 7am. That's work time anyway. When you can get an hour on the water after work, its worth it.

And my blinds haven't faded.

If I'm gonna get up for work in the dark anyway, I might as well have some light after work. Why can't it be permanent!

Because the Earth is tilted on its axis in relation to the sun?

Its seems like some people would be happier on a planet that doesn't spin. So some can live somewhere that has permanent sunshine while others live in perpetual darkness.

I think this is some comic genius. At least I hope it is. Because if it isn't, its comic genius (just unintended).
