OMG
and if you want a sail or 2 to go with the boards.....
- Makes the WA 'free stuff' thread look pretty good.....
and a sail.....
Move the decimal point to the left by 2 places and this gear is still way overpriced.
I'd say at least half of the stuff advertised on Seabreeze is overpriced. There are plenty of sellers that price their gear right but too many that don't seem to have a clue. I have seen plenty of used sails people are trying to sell for more than what the same sail would cost new at a shop.
Darra is a awesome place to visit!!! NOT!!!
The drugs are probably cheaper than the windsurfing gear by the looks of the add.
considering Waitata is Aboriginal for speed and it is being sold in the speed capital of Queensland is kinda ironic.......any North Ices for sale in Caboolture?
The waitata had such a deep double concave you almost had to decide which concave to ride on. Maybe they were onto something.
290 x 60. No idea of volume.
I always thought they were around 120 liters, but I was pretty skinny back in the day, but I don't remember it being crazy floaty
And yes, the double concaves were deep. The board planed super early, was really light for its vintage and it gybed nicely in chop. Of all the boards I owned back in the day the Waitata II was easily my fav. Would love to ride on these days just to see if it was really as good as I remember, but I'm not going to splash out $200, let alone $500.
I'm so drooling.
Next time you're in Yeppoon come and pick these up for your windsurf museum.
How about this one I picked up from a fellow windsurfer who obtained 5 of them all never been in the water. Circa about 1995 maybe??
Tried it out yesterday and today with pleasing results. 24.5 kts so far. Felt bad getting it wet, close to a collectors item!

Got them all for a carton of beer two had price tags $1199 and the one in the pic was $1299 mum wanted to make a coffee table out of them.
Wow, I fitted the fin box, mast track and footstrap plugs in that puppy a few decades ago, great to see it still around!
Can you believe someone would leave this little beauty, an original Wind Fx speed machine shaped by Mr Brown himself, going for free at the Burrum Heads caravan park!

So this is in your possession now Bryn?
Those boards will make it a very expensive fence.
