Thanks Mr T & Glynn, all good here at the moment, just rain and gusty wind. Ita's loosing power so hoping by the time it goes past (west) it's a weak cat 1 or a low. The mobile palace is getting a good wash, got it away from trees best I could, fingers crossed.

Mr Ed up at Port will be copping it a bit but I'd guess it's ok. Herby's the one, he's in the firing line as it tracks south so I'm hoping it'll be a weak system then, will definitely fill his playground up, thinking of you Herbo.

Before anyone asks, no I'm not going for a sail, tried that years ago with Rowdy and it was absolute poo

Eye just passing over us now had over 300 mm last night and this morning and the creek down the back which normally is about 10 wide is a 100m wide roaring torrent.

All good JP

I'm near the Barron River and even though it's dropping it sounds like a freight train going past.
Sunny skies here now Nigel, yours will come, funny how crap one day then paradise the next.

No sailing for me Justin had to go into work and recommission the pilot boat and do a run out the channel to confirm shipping can start again. Lovely clear still weather now but won't be too quiet tomorrow with the chainsaw in action.

Starting to kick into gear here but not expecting much more than 40 to 50 kn max wind gusts tomorrow morning although looks like we're going to get another drenching.

hope you didn't get too wet guys. bowen got something like 100mm in an hour.

I guess it's fair to say for the east coast the cyclone season has ended with a bang!!!!!
monsoonal still has some life left so will see what happens.

maybe us SEQ will get a decent run of east coast lows this year. seems to be the year for wind.
