A quick question. I have 2 small creases in the top laminate near the nose of my slalom board. They are very shallow, approx 15mm wide and 75mm long. There is no crack in the gel coat or sponginess or damage to the corresponding bottom laminate. The creases are not overly obvious, the board is watertight and sound and hence I am not inclined to repair.
However, a friend suggested that I could remove or reduce these creases by heating them locally with a hair dryer. I'd never head of this remedy. Has anyone successfully done this or is the suggestion dangerous?
Please don't use a hair dryer on your board, it will end in tears.
Give your friend a clip around the ear from me.

With hair dryer
Be sure to leave two small creases in his nose.
Can you post a photo, sounds a bit similar to mine.id like to know if to repair or just leave it alone.
I think a lot of windsurfers used hair dryers in the 80's, not so prevalent now

No because they're the ones who've taken up kiting ![]()

Of course.
We all use an iron to get the wrinkles out. Set it on medium.
