This is a 1:30 clip of Caesar, the madman of Bonaire in light winds. Skip ahead to 1:12, during which he is now throwing the sail flying through the air, and catching it. How do you practice this?

Think I saw that guy in another youtube vid on a starboard go. He is a true freak! Imagine the audience you would have at the beach.
Thats very inspiring. Just bought a big board for my wife as she is learning windsurfing. Hopefully I can borrow it off her sometimes to do helicopter tacks and sail spins. Its great fun but I don't think I'll be tossing the rig into the air.
Doesn't look 12 more like 10, but anyhow great flick!
In any case, 12 knot for that kind of freestyle is NOT lightwind. 12 is light as opposed to, say, 40, but lightwind floater freestyle is like 8-10 to practice little moves. I'd call the 12-16knot range more like medium for that freestyle. If you don't believe that, try it! Difficulty is much, much higher in those winds all of a sudden.
Great stuff again. I find this brand of freestyle entertaining to watch.
I do not find modern freestyle entertaining to watch - all the spins look pretty much the same after couple of minutes. Reminds me of Test cricket - fun to do, but boring to watch (Michael, you're on the wrong side of the equator, look up Test cricket! ;)
