I made a quick video of some sailing with wing and skate and some windskate! Enjoy!
Better be outside and having some fun on this boring pandemic.
Cheers!
Very nice.
Now for god's sake the rest of you go get a helmet on. You all look too young to remember Craig Maisonville. Pretty skilled sailor, phenomenally strong, sailing Hookipa without a harness and showing a lot of fin on his bottom turns. Brained himself windskating on the curb of a parking lot, so it doesn't just happen to kooks.
Thanks Awalkspoiled, play safe is better! By the way, it is also a lot better to check all your equipment before you ride.
Yesterday, a friend of mine, nick name Chuck, he broke a rope on the boom and then the sail has separated from his board but it is not as bad as when he lost one wheel while jibing with his old longboard as a windskate. He made in front of me some kind of a cheeze roll, he passed on the other side of the sail and turn on himself. Luckily he had noting and we had the chance to laugh about it.
On the video, the man on the picture who falled with his wing is ok, no injury. He did sailed for hours after that. He was using a small skate. It would have been better to use a wider skate like my freestyle board.
Check your equipement, you don't want to fall.
Windskating or wing skating could be safe if you could control your speed with the sail or the wing.
If you cannot control yourself, you need more protection. :) HaHa Play safe!
