Im thinking about a windsurfing holiday in about february for say a week to 10 days. But I'm a little low on the money side of things. I'm looking for ideas, obviously somewhere windy would be nice. Im attempting to get into waves so somewhere easy wave sailing but I do love a good jumping session. Im in Victoria, WA is the dream but very unlikely on the cash side of things. Anyone have ideas, Im thinking driving would make things considerably easier, NSW? SA? Tas?
If you are getting into wavesailing then South West Rocks on the mid north coast of NSW is a great spot. It might be a bit far to drive if you are only having ten days away though.
Any similar spots close to Victoria?
never been there but heading to Merimbula (6hrs south of Sydney) in early December for 10 days with the mrs and her son. it's before the peak period and we've picked up a 2 bed unit for 10 nights for $550. meant to be a thoroughly decent windsurf spot so can't wait. hopefully get a few nor easters and a nice 3-4 foot of swell.
if you're into camping you can stay in National Parks for about $10 a night eg this one is pretty close to Gerroa

Just drive up the coast, head for gerroa along the way there must be endless amounts of beaches etc. Gerroa rocks
Check out Mallacoota - you can have a blast at Sandy Point on the way - once there can choose between flat water and waves (easy or serious), or go fishing or kayaking or mtn biking or whatever. Ellobuddah at Eden could give you some tips on the area too. And Merimbula is just up the road.
