Seeing his discarded scythe and cloak disappear into the distance, Death thought to himself "Finally, I can get a life".

Pity,
....if it had been a ho, I would've stopped and picked her up

.....but it was a scythe, not a ho.

OH&S policy meant, no more scythes, and no dark clothing.

It was a real problem, but Death made no bones about it.

The nullabor council will no longer be employing nuns to maintain median strips and traffic islands.

Death's second job as a crossing guard really wasn't working out well. No one ever seemed to want to stop.

If you've managed to avoid Death just once, its been a 'Goodyear'.

Death was admiring his latest crop circles when a car driven by Petermac and The Doctor came the other way.

People used to think you had to outrun Death to cheat it. Instead, you just have to brake hard.

Death might have rode in on a horse, but he was no match for a turbo Liberty.

In retrospect it really was a bad idea to mow the nature strip in a black hoodie.

Death was going to take care of some kite lines at Woodies, but he hadn't taken into account the teuros would be driving on the wrong side of the road.

I should have kept the light saber, it was a lot less intimidating.

Some wonderfully creative entries, thank you very much.
I thought that was a difficult picture to caption, so you've excelled yourselves.
So many entries I loved:

The papal election was becoming nasty...
Oh Honey, you're right, I think we probably are in Death Valley actually.
"I didn't even eat the Salmon Mousse..."
Who thought texting while driving could help you escape Death?
When the weekend hit, Death liked to leave his work clothes and tools behind and head for the coast
People are dying to get their hands on the new Severne Blade
The nullabor council will no longer be employing nuns to maintain median strips and traffic islands.
Death was going to take care of some kite lines at Woodies, but he hadn't taken into account the euros would be driving on the wrong side of the road.

Stuthepirate nearly won it with:
Helps us Obe-Won Kenobi, you're our only... SH!T

But then FormulaNova weighed in with no less than 12 entries (and a lot of good ones too). Now either he was really bored and there was no wind, OR he has a really good caption picture lined up for us and he's desperate to win so he can post it, so I declare FormulaNova the winner!

I'm not sure what you are getting at. With that image, under the assumption it is a passenger looking into a side mirror, Death's hoodie and scythe are on the left hand side of the road (behind the car), which then suggests that the car is driving on the right hand side of the road.

Please don't apply logic to my caption competition entries. They make less sense than anything else I say.

Thanks Anita. It was boredom and a boring tv program, combined with a dash of alcohol.

No Wind? Over here we have had enough to make you think its almost good enough to sail..

Caption comps are getting difficult. It is hard to come up with a new image that hasn't been used before. I will see what I can come up with.

I thought she just felt sorry for me, as I had obviously nothing else going for me.

I figure its like the lottery. The more entries you have, the more chance you have of tickling someone's funny bone.

Most of them did, and it was cumulative, but I think the one I liked the most was the one about the kite lines at Woodies.
1. We all have this running joke about kiters and kite lines.
2. Woodies used to be a great spot for speedsailing but it's been taken over by kiters.
3. Kite lines have become such an issue at Woodies that the local council have recently banned all kite lessons there.
4. We have lots of Euro kiters and windsurfers over here in the summer
5. That's a really nice hook knife

Interesting to note no polka dotted boardies in any of the captions...
