Part of the plastic lining my Severne clamp has come off. I have the piece and just need to glue it back on.
Is Epiglue 2 part ok for repairs or what do you suggest?
Ps it's my favourite boom and has had a LOT of use so I'm not complaining. ![]()
contact glue: you smear a thin layer on both sides, wait until it's dry and then press the 2 together as hard as possible

Thanks. All contact glue is waterproof?
Yep should work fine. Rough up both surfaces with super coarse sand paper first.
This is very important if you need it to stick good - speaking from experience.
I used Bear Contact adhezive and have also used it on my foil board nose protectors.
And possible mould release on plastic, almost certainly something on the rubber so a good scrub after sanding with a solvent...... not turps though

What sort of solvent?

Acetone would be best. Don't use your nail polish remover because it has oils in it. Even though it's %95 acetone.
Personally , if I was you , id replace all of the rubber. It's broken off because it's gone hard. Scrape off the remaining and replace with a well sanded piece of bicycle inner tube.![]()
My used Enigma came with a brittle breaking one and i bought a new one for it. Can't remember how much, but i think it was the cheapest spanking new bit of kit i've ever got
It is not glued, just press in. It does alot of squishing to accommodate rdm or sdm. Working good now.
My footpad is lifting a little. Gotta find some good contact glue for that. I tried shoe glue, not sure if that is real contact glue or i didn't let it go tacky before sealing up. Might try it again - Huey may not allow leave time from beach to go to hardware just now ![]()

I used Selleys Kwik Grip a few months back for three loose pads and it's holding strong so far. Make sure it's clean, spray on both sides for a permanent bond and let it go tacky before sealing, at least 5 mins depending on temperature.
I just ordered 2 of the shims.. and I'm about to buy the 7.2m Moto..
...
If it does what they say and it doesn't fill up with water in the chop I'll be selling my 2 x 7m and 7.5ms..
7m 2019 Turbo
7m ODM2
7.5m Turbo 2021
All in very good to excellent condition..
I'll just have to get the Moto and test it in the chop before I'll let the others go..It was an expensive phone call..![]()
Not expensive if it pays back. Hope it all works for you.
My boom was very happy with me for getting it a new shim, goes like a new one now.![]()

I love my 160- 200 enigma. Unfortunately in later models they changed the boom end to a freeride so you couldn't run an adjustable outhaul.
I had to buy the next size up and I don't like it. It's wider diameter and heavier
. Pity they had to bugger up a good thing.

Which did you get, the 180? I found one of those on a good discount and set it up with adjustable. I now have a 140, that 180, and the 210/IQFoil. The IQFoil is significantly thicker near the harness lines. The 180 is much less so and more comfy, but really the 140 has a nice small diameter and a very pleasant grip, just don't get to use it that often here. My hands are probably a little bigger than yours though so I can understand that ![]()

It was a few years ago. I haven't got the boom in front of me but it was the next size up. Maybe the 170-220 freemove.

I tried the Moto 6.4 yesterday in very light wind. It fell really powerful and efficient down low and rotated perfectly. I'll know about top end in a few days.
