Is it stuffed?

Pretty sure it is, just seeking confirmation. The crack in the second photo is very deep, sure i can see divinycell through it.

its a foilbox in a foilboard. The board was a bit of a throw in from the buyer when i sold another board, i wanted a board that was 2/3rds of the way to dead to give foil slalom a go. So not too much love lost if it has to go in the bin.

i'd look at getting a new foil box installed if the price isn't crazy, but i think much more monetary input than $500, and the board can go to the tip. I wouldn't look at doing it myself (that'd be a quick way to lose a $4k foil. This is probably the sky fairys way of telling me not to try foil slalom.

The box is certainly stuffed and needs replacing. Looks like it wasn't supported well enough. So I don't think just a new box is adequate, it needs, more support somehow.

Just looking at the box failure, it seems there wasn't enough fibres going around the front of the box, allowing it to split. I've no idea what it would cost to fix, but unless the job's done properly, it's just a waste of time. There's a lot of load on the box.

Agree its buggered. Wouldnt even fin sail it. I charge 500 for basic install of carbon DT if no complicating factors.
Trouble is there may be also minimal thickness in surrounding laminate.
I have a repaired secondhand box thats a gamble if u want

If that is the only damage it is easily repaired. Just needs the old box removed and a new box installed. Best to cut a big hole and install a block of higher density foam to place the new box it to prevent recurrance.

But, with a cracked box comes water intrusion so it needs a good inspection to assure there is not other damage.
