Sounds a bit suss to me. The guy sounds like he is commercially involved with the company yet initial post tries to sound like an average punter?
I think that I saw the exact same post about Point-7 sails on boards.co.uk forums a few months ago?
Yep, and here it is.

Here is a reminder of what he said....

Hi
I'm new in this forum. I'm looking at changing all my sails this year and have found this brand on the internet that I havent seen before. www.point-7.com
Apparently its quite new, but also succesfull in Europe. I also read that Jose Bahadur used one of their sails, when he won the first leg of the ISA in 2007.
I would like to know if anyone has any experience with these sails or if anyone have heard anything about them? The design is fantasticPosted - 03/03/2008 : 11:51 pm
"Do you think they work on starboard as well?"Posted - 01/03/2008 : 10:49 pm
Well I read on their site that the black film blocks the UVrays so the sails should be protected and last longer than a normal transparent monofilm sail.
But I'm sure that a black material gets warmer, but then again I doubt that it will melt..?Makes you wonder why you'd believe anything they say on their web site. Obviously truthfulness is not high on priorities.
