Sounds a bit suss to me. The guy sounds like he is commercially involved with the company yet initial post tries to sound like an average punter?

I think that I saw the exact same post about Point-7 sails on boards.co.uk forums a few months ago?

Yep, and here it is.

Yep Stewie , I think you would definitely need to make a sample . What looks good on paper doesn,t always look so hot in reality . Man , I have learned that the hard way.
Still , if Andrew can get the loft to grab some Black X I would love to do one . Otherwise I might have to colour mine in with a black marker ! Ha .

Hey Red 5 , Chris Lockwood probably cares about KA sails seeing as he went 50 knots on one 2 weeks ago .

Ok, I stand corrected, 1 person cares about KA sails.

Yep this guy works for Point 7
Here is a reminder of what he said....

Posted - 01/03/2008 : 3:54 amHi
I'm new in this forum. I'm looking at changing all my sails this year and have found this brand on the internet that I havent seen before. www.point-7.com
Apparently its quite new, but also succesfull in Europe. I also read that Jose Bahadur used one of their sails, when he won the first leg of the ISA in 2007.
I would like to know if anyone has any experience with these sails or if anyone have heard anything about them? The design is fantastic

"Do you think they work on starboard as well?"

Well I read on their site that the black film blocks the UVrays so the sails should be protected and last longer than a normal transparent monofilm sail.
But I'm sure that a black material gets warmer, but then again I doubt that it will melt..?

Makes you wonder why you'd believe anything they say on their web site. Obviously truthfulness is not high on priorities.
