I'd think Boom End or back mount.
Or get someone to sit at the gybe area and film a couple of runs

Yep it's often difficult to see what's going on from on-board vid.

I made a mount that extended back from the boom a bit which was pretty good for Gybes but quite bouncy in chop.

Gybes are at 2:50 and 3:10 if you want to skip the rest of the stuff.

I think it's best to mix up the views.

You can see right at the start of my vid a mount that I made to position the GoPro off the end of my boom.. It seemed to work ok.

Having someone else film you will show you more about what you're doing right and wrong with your jybes.

Time to buy a drone that follows you on the water. Gyroscopically stabilised images from different vantage points. Just be aware of how long the batteries last.

Despite the attraction, Do NOT attach ot to the front of the boom on the bend. I tried this with a bike handle bar style clamp and no longer have a GoPro...

The drone angle is pretty good, a little more difficult to arrange but def doable...here is a crap gybe example but you
get the idea.

A few years back I used a GoPro mounted on the mast (with a FlyMount) to analyse my gybes. Worked pretty well.

I like the rating system.. don't think I'd have the energy to do them straight after each other like you did..

Has anyone been able to source one of these clear-view mounts from a stockist in Aus?

I've got the go pro and have been using it with the mast mounted flymount. I'm still waiting on my new video editor so I only have video stills.. I knew I needed to straighten my front arm more and get the sail further away as I enter the gybes but the still shots really confirm it..
I've managed to do that a few times with the smaller sails but may have to wait until my shoulder is A1 and I'm a bit fitter with the larger ones. The day i tried it felt like my pec muscles were going to tear off my chest..

I have video of the gybe exits on the other larger board so when I get the editor I can show the entry and exits..
