Some of the best coverage ever posted on SB. Better still if it went for 15 minutes.
Shows windsurfing and slalom sailing in particular still tops the newer versions by a long way ![]()

Come down and join in on the fun :)
We've got a great young crew running the races and also out on the course. We also do foil slalom when the winds are 12 knots or less.
Beginner slalom sailors are more than welcome as well and get some great encouragement.
We still have quite a few rounds left this season.

Are you allowed to run a foil regardless of windspeed? What's the latest racing runs till? And can you wear a waterskiing neoprene life vest?
Find it a bit hard to get there by 12pm, but will try make a few rounds next year to add some numbers to the freeride fleet, seeing as I'm basically always sailing down there anyway.

Great. I think you'd enjoy it!
At the moment we don't allow foils on the same course as fins due to safety concerns. This was agreed upon at the AGM.
12 is briefing. If you talk to me before the day then you can rock up a closer to the start at 1. We run a max of 6 races and have been off the water by 4 each foil round so far.
It has to be an approved pfd. A helmet is also mandatory for foil races.
where do they race from as there's nothing on their website to say where it actually is....
Hi Madge. We're based in Manly / Wynnum on Moreton Bay.

Yep its an approved PFD, but a level 50, I assume thats fine. And yeah I already do have a helmet, have had ever since I got a foil, I really should get around to wearing it occasionally haha.
