Hi all, I know there was an old post about these Atan booties but it is too old to continue. (i did try)
Just wondering if anyone has purchased a pair of Atan recently and where did they get them from if they did. They are proving very hard to get a hold on. I did contact Severneshop in UK but the postage is as much as the boots. Not many others deliver to Aust and the others don't stock Atan.
Any ideas on where I can get them from. They look like a great option as the other booties has too many 'things' going on.

I buy mine from 24-7 Boardsports. I buy 2 pairs at a time to reduce transport costs. The boots last 1 to 2 seasons.

Tried to buy a pair through 24-7, but they no longer ship out of the UK.
Fortunately have a cousin in the UK; had them send it her and she forwarded them on to me.

That's not good. Obviously the current strained logistic chain is taking it's toll. I will have to look after my current pair.
Thanks guys. I have emails in to about 4 or 5 shops in different countries to see if they ship here. I will let you know if I have any luck with any of them. Otherwise the 'send to a friend' option in the UK might be a good option.
I got mine (USA) from windpowerwindsurfing.com. They may ship to Oz and are in any case a great source for out of the way parts of all kinds. I loved the Atan Kevlar while they lasted but they delaminated pretty quickly.

Thanks, tried these guys and they do ship here but have limited options. This is their reply

The cost of the booties is $59USD but USPS right now is not shipping first class or priority which are the cheapest. They are only allowing me to ship express at this time and the one I sent there last week was around $69. It is almost double my normal rates due to the lack of shipping options. UPS and Fed Ex were more than that.
I still have 2 options from Uk and just sorting through those.
If you want to buy something like this from a shop in the USA or UK, try using a Freight Forwarder service.
EG: I have used one called MyUS, which give me a freight forwarding address in the USA and also one in the UK.
There are a few others.
You simply order online using your Freight forwarding address in the relevant country. They receive the item, and ship them on to you for a freight and handling charge. Because they specialise in this service, they can sometimes have quite reasonable shipping prices, but not always, because some online retailers have their own very good shipping arrangements, and some subsidise the shipping. It pays to check your options
But when the vendor does not want to sell direct to Australia, freight forwarding services are often a good work around. ![]()
Try www.boarderzone.nl or contact them through info@boarderzone.nl they have nearly all Atan models and sizes in stock. Don't know if they ship to AUS but never hurts to ask.

Thanks so much. I used to use a service like this to get things from the states but have stopped since most vendors ship to Aus. I may have to look into it again. Thanks for the reminder

Hi John, you mentioned when you purchased your Atan booties that you went down in size. I am at the stage, finally, that I am ready to put in the order to Surf Doctor. He has been helping me with the postage to Aust. My dilemma is that it seems my foot is in the middle of the sizing. They are 27.5 cm, long second toe. But some sizing charts say that would be UK41 some say UK43 or 44. The sizing on Atan are either 42-43 or 44-45.
I think you said in an earlier post to go for a size down. I def don't want them too large so my foot pushes forward in them. I have never tried used booties before on a board and just want to make this purchase correct since it is coming from UK. 45 is going to be getting too large i think. Bit confused. What is your foot length compared to the size you Atan use?

I usually wear size 9 / Euro 43 in shoes. I purchase the 40-41 Atans. They are tight, but loosen a little over time. I also remove the ankle draw string as its not required because of the tight fit. You want a tight fit because they have no inset strap. Also be aware that they are a bit slippery when you first put them on. They can slip on your board deck, especially when your pushing the board forward onto plane. Don't panic, after a couple of uses the bottom of the boot gets scuffed up and the grip is then amazing.
For anyone that is interested. This is where I ended up getting the booties. Lets see if they arrive. Not may UK shops want to ship to Aus as mentioned

The sunfast shoes are ?34.95 less UK vat = ?29.13 + Royal Mail shipping ?16 = ?45.13 which is roughly $84 AUD
This is what the others said.

unfortunately we have had to stop shipping internationally due to covid and Brexit problems. Items were getting lost or being returned up to 8 weeks later. We were just spending all our time chasing these problems.
