I'm looking for more information on this guy besides newer articles on google.

Translated wiki article here:translate.google.com/translate?sl=auto&tl=en&js=y&prev=_t&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&u=https%3A%2F%2Ffr.wikipedia.org%2Fwiki%2FArnaud_de_Rosnay&edit-text=

If anyone has any old videos/articles/images etc of this guy can you post it up? I'm specifically interested in learning more about his crossings. Thanks in advance.I've only found this (in Italian):

There was a video about the Maui Speed Crossing race 1981 or 1982 which was a event conceived and film by Arnaud De Rosnay.

Baron Arnaud de Rosnay the legendary windsurfer who mysteriously disappeared without trace on his trip from Taiwan to China in 1984 is here pictured on his successful crossing from Japan to Russia in the early 1980s. A great French surfer in the 1960s well regarded in Midget Farrelly's book of surfing from 1965 he became a legendary windsurfer with daring exploits. He was married to the beautiful Jenna Severson a top windsurfer herself. The sail Arnaud is using here appears to be a 1984 Neil Pryde Stratos with powerhead.

^^^ I think that's one of his sails that had zips running from head to clew that allowed him to reduce the size of the sail .

Yes I think you are right..looks like a Stratos modified with zips for reefing.

I can imagine him unzipping a panel when the wind gets too strong, but I can't imagine him replacing that panel when the wind backs off. Sitting on the board, or being in the water, in choppy conditions, trying to add to your sail, that sounds very, very, very difficult.

Arnaud sliding in the 60s and below with the board used in one of his crossings in the 1980s. If he were alive today he would be in his 70s.

I think they were either taken over by or at least became aligned with Bic.
I remember when the Bic Techno's (in blue) came out, they had identical Tiga boards (in yellow).
I think they were called Tiga Freerides.
They were identical except for the fin box type, from memory.

Someone else may know the politics of the companies....
