Just filled a dispute and instantly received a refund from PayPal. So guessing this online "retailer" is a fraudulent website. Online search regarding the legitimacy of this store had me a bit concerned. Relatively new and noted that it probably is just a drop shipper. Based either in Singapore or Australia. Shouldn't have made the purchase, but size of the specific product was out of stock from all my normal online vendors.
No response from retailer to the two emails sent at ~1 and 2 weeks after the order should have been shipped.
Just me. Or has anyone else had issues with this online "store".
Taken a look at the site. It looks to be a drop ship site. Which means they take the order and facilitate the order with a distributor. When looking at this site there are some red flags that I spotted. No proper fav icon in place the little icon you see on your browser tab, when reading through the terms, privacy etc there is no reference to business or companies, tax rates etc. The person uses a gmail account to handle communication, not professional. I could dive deeper into the backend site, but will leave for a less busy day.
basically it's a very amateur site and looks to be set up and developed quickly. The person might have good intentions, but I suspect not. Cheers

I'm old school and prefer shopping from a physical retail outlet. My first preference is to support my local shop, then other retail outlets in Australia, then as a last resort overseas retail outlets. If we don't support the remaining physical retail outlets they will continue to disappear and we will have no one to blame but ourselves when only dodgy online outlets remain.
Definitely a scam. A lot of the lost surfboards on the site are scraped off the www.realwatersports.com/ website.
