Hi all,
As many know it's a bit over a year since we lost Andrew to cancer.
As a way to remember him and celebrate everything that he contributed to Windsurfing and Kitesurfing over his too few years, Marmong Point Sailing Club are having a race day this Saturday in his honour. We are hoping to make this an annual event.
All classes of boards and kites are invited along to the club (George St, Marmong Point) from 12 noon on Saturday 21st Jan for a social day on and off the water. Racing will be simple upwind-downwind course racing. There is no entry fee required. BYO food and drinks.
Afterwards, we are planning to meet at the Gunyah Hotel (Pacific Highway, Belmont) for dinner and beers from 6:30pm.
Hope to see lots of people here on Saturday to remember Andrew.
PS Feel free to post tributes etc here too and we will try our best to get this through to his family.
Hey Guys I missed this till now will repost on Facebook.. I will definetly be going no lessons for me this weekend I look forward to seeing all windsurfers and kiteboarders out on the water having a blast in Memory of the great Andy Regan, my mentor..

Andrew's partner Anita here. Just letting you know that we have just found out about this race and get together today and hope to catch up with you all either during the day at Marmong or in the evening on Saturday. Even though Andrew was unable to get down to the water as often as he would have liked in the latter stages of our battle, he loved when we would drive down to Marmong to say hi and have a chat on the weekends when he was well enough. He would always come back home with a smile on his face after that little outing. It meant so very much to him to spend time with such wonderful friends. Thanks guys.... Look forward to seeing you.
