Have a F2 SL MEdium board with foam cut outs in tail. The cut outs have not been done well and leave gaps etc between the board and foam. What can I use to fill up the holes and what do I coat it with afterwards?
The gaps are 5 - 10 mm deep by 20 - 30 mm long
Epifill:::A medium-to-high density two-pack epoxy filler. Can be used above and below the waterline and is ideal for all manner of filling jobs. It is especially suitable for those jobs where compressive forces are high (ie. Between keels and hulls). It is also ideal for use as a bedding material under deck fitting such as winches etc. Easy 2:1 mixing ratio.
I agree with choco.. if you're looking for a filler then use International's Epifill rather than the kneed-it/ding stick products. It's a bit more expensive but is only about $20-30 for the small pack. I've used both types and wouldn't use the stick fillers again.
FGI has suggested Arildite as they no longer have Epifill. Has anyone used Arildite - success? Will it eat into the foam?
ask them about there product H045 and R045, its simular to arildite but as i said its like jelly it wont sag and sets harder than arildite
no arildite wont eat into the foam because it epoxy
