I have a old one piece sailworks mast thats done nothing in close to 20 years, mainly because its 'one piece'. Can I buy the spigot or try salvage
one from a broken modern mast?..and where on the mast would you seperate? Ideas most welcome.

440cm??? That's not too long! Roof rack! Flag at each end! Can be done! C'mon!

I wouldn't get your hopes up, though. It's a 20+ y.o. mast; it's probably going to break after 5 minutes of use unless you have a 1980s sail to pair it with! I had a beautiful 1-piece a while back, real fancy, looked good as new, rigged an Ezzy on it...snapped it like a twig!

Making a 2-piece out of it would probably be a waste of time...I mean, let nature take it's course and you'll have a "2-piece" soon enough!!

Good luck, though! Post photos!!

Thanks Wet Willy, point taken. An old mast with a late model sail is not on.
