2018 Formula World Windsurfing Championship & Raceboard Masters World Championship

Both championships were held concurrently in Portimao, Portugal. Congratulations to Steve Allen (AUS 0) on winning the men's Formula class while Windsurfing NSW President, Lissa McMillan (AUS 443) won the women's Raceboard Masters.


Seven time windsurfing olympian and 2018 World raceboard and World masters raceboard champion, Jo?o Rodriguez with Lissa M & Richie Reynolds. Richie finished 5th in the men's world masters and 4th in his class.


AUS 0 getting the trophy & prize money at the Formula presentation. These races preceded the World Formula Foiling championships now being run at Portimao.

Well done Lissa, Steve, Richie. Are we getting the RB worlds in Aussie again anytime soon?
The 2016 worlds were fantastic

From the MINUTES - ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING of the International Raceboard Class Association Date: Thursday 28th June 2018 at 18:00. Venue: Blanes, Spain.

8. Future Championships and venues
2019 Europeans - 13th to 18th May 2019 at Nove Milny, Pavlov, Czech Republic
2019 Worlds - It was agreed to follow bid from Warnemunder Segal Club/DWSV to host during Warnemunder Week 2019 from 6th to 14th July.
2019 Masters Worlds - to be confirmed, with possible addition of new Junior Worlds.
2020 Europeans - to follow up proposal from La Rochelle, France.
2020 Worlds - It was agreed to follow up bid from Hungarian Windsurfing Association to host on Lake Balaton towards the end of August.
2021 - to follow up proposal from La Rochelle, France.
2021 - to follow up proposal from POR Sailing Federation to host in Lisbon.
