Couple of Severne Blade queries - for the latest 017 Blades
Q1. Do the 017 Blades also work on other brand masts (ezzy / simmer) ie less mast specific (stiff top?) than they used to be in prior years?
Q2. Whats the difference between the G1 and G2 Gorilla masts - again in reference to 017 blades?

Rigs fine on an ancient Nolimitz skinny 400 (IMCS 19 - same as the severne 400, and I think only the new sumos have an IMCS of 19, the "original" new skinnies have an IMCS of 18... I don't know if it makes a difference). I've been told that they will feel heavier and less stable because the twist starts earlier, but will still work. My 4.7 and 5.3 seem to work and looked fine when rigged in the shop.
I also have an ancient Nolimitz skinny 370 (unheard of IMCS of 15) and a 4.2 blade rigged on it looks completely and utterly wrong. As wrong as when rigged on a NP 370 mast. It looks much better rigged on the 400 skinny with the mast sticking out 17 cms out the top, and even better on a Severne RDM90, which I ended up getting.
Having said all this, I'm still tempted to buy a new Severne 400 mast. I really don't want to second guess myself whether I'm getting the most out of my sail.
