Less than 5 hours to carbon date this interesting specimen, which might even pre-date Hoyle and Schweitzer by about a century.

I just asked them if they have any documentation as to its authenticity. and if they have the board it came from

Sounds like that is not from the past but a sail of the future.
2017 : North introduce the one batten sail, convertible to a three batten foil with the addition of two paulownia inserts. Ride it as a single for looseness and quick response or as a triple for stability in down the line conditions. Borg Urgenenson, European champion, quoted " the lightest and most powerful sail I have ever used, so much better than the 2016 edition"
