It's been a long time since I was on the old wizard, but I can confirm that the w114 certainly pumps on the foil significantly more easily than my freestyle 115
#$%^ I love my 125 Wizzard, now I'm thinking of the 114, this whole sport was created to make us all poor...and happy!
I wonder if the better pumpability is due to the really long cutout. The old Wizard a had a rail there. Perhaps the long cutout lets the board slide sideways better to respond to pumping.
By the way, Bruce Barry is a longtime windsurfing, now windfoiling, expert. He also is pretty much the best SUPer you will find anywhere.
With the twin tracks you can position the foil in tiny increments to induce earlier lift which is also better than switching to B or C fuse position.
The catch 22 (as just like windsurfing boards) is going to be body weight and locations you use it in.
140 lb guy uphauling is nothing like a 200 lb guy uphauling in light winds and steep chop, if your local beach has a viturally no wind zone for 100 yards and you're sinking up to your shins it doesn't matter how hard you pump it.
I wish Slingshot had put one more board in the line up!
The jump in board width from either the wizard 125/wizard 130 to the wizard 114 is a MASSIVE leap.
Board width goes from W125/130 78cm to W114 66cm (even the Freestyle 115 is 71cm).
Think there is room for a Wizard 120 that's 188 x 71 with twin tracks, that would awesome!

I read that as well...My W130 bolts and screws fit perfectly so not sure what the deal is there?
It's important to keep the reviewer's weight in mind. It looks like the perfect board for him, and that is awesome. I consider myself a fairly average weight middle-age male at 185lbs and I know the 114L would gargle nuts if I replaced my 125L with it for the lightwind sailing with a 7.3 that I'm stuck doing at my lousy local spot. That narrow shape would also be hopeless for sailing upwind in light breezes for me. If, however, I lived somewhere windy, or weighed what I did in grade 9 then yeah the board looks sick. At my weight I could see it being a fun wingfoil board though, but not the lightwind beast my Wizard 125 is.

The screws are compatible but mine just bottomed out, so I didn't get as tight a fit as I would like. Therefore, I switched for slightly shorter screws as well. I didn't have an issue with anything else on the straps. I love those straps so much.
Yes on my 114 the foot strap screws are to long maybe by 2-3 mm easy fix is to stack a couple stainless washers under the screw head also if you are going to be changing foot strap position often you might want to have another set of screws stainless is pretty soft and the ones supplied can be buggered up even with the right #3 phillips screw driver, other than that the straps are nice. Also the foil plate flat head screws need to be longer so that the foil can be mounted without taking them off the plate every time supplied is 20mm I am going to try 25mm and also go to a allen head as the phillips will soon cause problems torx would be nice but I have yet to find 8x1.25 in stainless flat head. This is my only complaint after my latest sesh I am loving this board and it fits in the back of a corolla
I had a good 10 minute session on the w114 yesterday, until the wind died.
Stats:
Wind was 12-17 mph
Front strap all the way forward most inboard
Universal all the way back
Center back strap most forward
Infinity 99 in C all the way forward using inside holes on pedastal
5.3 HSM SFME
Conclusions:
Foils up real easy, comparable to my shredsled
I might go back to the outboard rear straps, might back foot seemed to be hanging out towards the rail
I will probably be running the 76 all the way back in the foil track, if I keep straps the same
Uphauling when the wind died was not the easiest. I rarely uphaul so am pretty **** at it, so don't take that too much into consideration. The 105 uphauled a bit easier
It shlogs good, better than the 105
During this session I was thinking that maybe the w114 could become might light wind board, but it really died at the end and the shlog back was a bit of a balance fest, so not sure. I like the security of the extra volume in the shredsled and once on the foil I do not notice the extra volume of the sled. Someone with lots of experience schlogging smaller wave and freestyle boards in lightwind (eg the hellmen below ) shouldn't have a problem making the w114 their smallest board, as long as they are ?under 80kgs
