been windfoiling for a few years on an old ultrasonic, with freeride gear, mainly use 5.6s1 and 799 or 999sabfoil
progressing nicely , thinking i would prefer a smaller narrower board for carving 360's etc, thinking of a severne predator or slingshot wizard...i've never gone to the expense of a new board before....and never really heard of slingshot boards...but are they decent enough construction ? i know severnes are well known and pretty solid construction. But i prefer the look of the wizard for what i want it for...be interesting to hear feedback from other slingshot owners...thanks
Have been happy with my 114 wizard all around not a bad do it all board, things I would change a more drawn in tail and mast tract further back. Like the looks of the predator but Tuttle box only Slingshot 115 freestyle another one to look at.
I have had the 130wizard v3 and I have a 114 v4.
the boards are built like tanks ..durable. Really like the 114. @180lbs uphauling a 6.0 severne foilglide is not that big of a deal. Really liking the size compared to the 130z. The tracks out the back makes installing mast so much easier .
Predator has only deep tuttle foilbox, wizard has only us boy rails. If you used an ultrasonic you now have a DT mast. So you need an adapter for the wizard.
For smaller boards you will need more wind to get up. Or better pump ability.
I have v3 wizard made in China solid construction but painting very poor quality. Anyway excellent board for windfoiling using with 3.7 4.2 4.7 mostly
wizards are definitely durable. The older wizards and older freestyle have medium tuttle boxes and if you have a sabfoil or moses mast they are deep tuttle so won't fit super well.
eitherway I would definitley recommend trying a proper windfoil board
Thanks all , ordered a v3 114 due mid next week , looking forward to the challenge!
Congrats on the board !!
