anyone having issues mounting the mast to board with the stock 25mm screw ? I have found on my 103W, the front two screws I can get in with decent amount of tread catching. the rear ones I could not engage the nut...too short. I since swapped out for 30mm which works better , and easier to install . Just got a 82 mast. and it came with 25mm with 20mm showing past the mast base plate. I haven't installed the 82 yet, but think they won't work, will have to go with my 30mm.
I like the 25mm b/c of the same size Torx bit.
First thing I did was ditch the 25 mm and replace with 30 that way I can mount the mast with all four attached by backing off the nuts to just a couple of threads. I have not been able to source torx head 8x30 Stainless yet so I went with Allen head ,also I mount mine using the second hole from the front and rear ones in the back.
I have the 103W with factory screws. No issues. They are different lengths by hole location depending on front wing though.
so today I got to try the 82 mast with 25mm. they are all long enough, but will swap for 30mm. the 103W I have to use 30mm for the rear ones.
