Your one tough guy! In Cleveland, Ohio the water temperature is 40 degrees F and the air is in the 20's. Its a month since I've been in the water.

For regular windsurfing I had a 5/4 mm suit and made sure I had a big board so I did not fall in at all,
For foiling you have to get in the water until the chest, and I crash more often than in normal windsurfing.

So for this winter I bought a drysuit from Gul (Gul Dartmouth).

I tested it now 3 times in water temperature of 6 Celsius, air 3 degrees and I am really happy with it!
Big advantage is that because you don't get cold at all your body does not reduce the bloodflow to the extremities and I have much warmer hands and feet. No need to change also, you can put the suit on and drive to the spot. After surfing you shake of the water and you can go back home. If you decide to take off the outer suit, you still have thermo layers underneath so you keep dry and warm.If you puncture the suit you do have a problem, but it is made of pretty decent materials and if you use a proper life vest and surf on smaller lakes I think it is really nice.

Hi TintinGwen, where are you foiling in France? I just bought the full package to get started on it, but often goes to Lac Hourtin in Aquitaine. Thought that could be a great place for some epic windfoiling? ;o)

Another question: I notice that you have some kind of camera mounted behind who? How/where have you gotten that kit please? Wondered if GoPro (which I have) is best mounted on myself or placed at end of boom would be best location to be able to review my doings and learn corrections to improve on during my journey to learn windfoiling?

And how then to attach it, to get good shots, but still not exposed to be injured on in when crashing out or it gets torn off and lost at sea?
