This group was formed in June 2020 by Sean Hogan from New Caledonia and has been well received by wind foiling members sailing many locations. The group has grown to more than 50 now but there is always room for more to share tracks from their local sailing spots.

Tip- when uploading file to KA72 select Activity as 'Windfoil'
This way the track will automatically load to Windfoil Worldwide Group
(the reason I mention this is your current default activity may be set as windsurf)

on the subject of the group, would you guys prefer a year ranking over month ranking ?
we could also have month and year on screen but then would have to discard one category as ka 72 web page only allows 6 items displayed.

I am happy with the current categories as they are
But if others want change that is fine too
Having year long overall standings could get boring with close to the same order the whole year
I put my name in the hat simply so some other poor soul wouldn't be at the bottom. 
Hello, I am not very fan of the distance category concerning the performance in windfoil even this one favors me widely. Year ranking category could be fine, Darryl's one !

For sure if others agree, remove distance and add something else
The 5 x 10sec is a good benchmark
Yes don't think we need an annual ranking. This would just mean more management as there are occasionally spiked tracks or drives home. Currently we can just ignore them and all reset the following month. Now distance , who's got time for that:)

You still can't admit I did 42 knts...
JPQR ! distance is my only chance not to be at the bottom of the rankings !!! Unless I add awesomeness and then I win !

I see your point there, but maybe 30min instead of hour as a lot these foilers seem to prefer a short and sharp session, we don't want any heart attacks on the playground

Jusavina isn't cheating anymore and I went down all the way in the rankings !!

Would be happy to see the distance category modified to "an hour" or 5 x 10. Not everybody has the time for three-hour sessions and It does seem to have a huge effect on the standings compared to the other disciplines?
IMHO removing the distance category would be detrimental to the group. My understanding of the group was it was set up for fun for all types of Windfoil with any kind of gps. If the distance is removed all of the categories will be either speed over time and speed over distance. So why shouldn't some of the slower guys see their name at or near the top of one of the categories and boost their over all ranking for their efforts . I'm sure most people have the opportunity once a month to put in a few hours on the water. I totally agree the hour is a great category and would like to see it included some how. I am also a fan of the 5*10 over the 2s where less accurate devices are being used.

Where I sail in an hour 50 gybe's are required, but still fun to see what average speed I can achieve

indeed, did you see matt91's score from yesterday ? not to mention he hasn't received the full R kit from phantom, he's riding on bits and pieces. I wonder how fast he's going to go considering he already did 34 with a starboard race foil !

Drifter's (my) 2sec 29.98Kts on the 26/11. "Tell them they're dreaming". It's only 16kts in My Data on KA72. Looks like a software glitch on KA72.

Well Sean looking at Matt91's result for Thursday I have a feeling he now has is new foil kit, congrats Matt nice performance, keep pushing

but the kid's a beast, no fear whatsoever and very good at tuning his kit.
(he did 27 on my 1100 freeride wing +115 fuselage with my 8.0 foilglide)
His alpha is pretty slick too... 
he needs to go for km's now to finish the year
we are considering entering the french speed base network

I can see that a category has been dropped in favor of showing the sailors' yearly scores. The yearly score includes any windsurfing activity, not just windfoiling as far as I understand, and I am not sure why it is important in a windfoil group.
I am not sure of the algorithm, but probably it would favor the ones that also fin.

This group is setup to only show windfoil nominated tracks in all categories including yearly ranking
The windfoil category is in the KA72 drop down menu, after selecting the windfoil emoji will show
It is possible in your personal MyData/MyTracks on KA72 to change any past sessions to windfoil
Dylan has also set up a MyData/Mystats page so you can review all PBs for Windfoil separate to Windsurf
