Early this year we planned our yearly sausagefest.
BBQ Beer and dudes and windfoiling!
the biggest change of proper wind here (netherlands) is during oktober.
so this event will happen next weekend.
windpreductions can't be worse. so thinking of possibilities to stop drinking and eating all the time, we thought of foiling behind a boat.
well, the boat is sorted.
a 1 person zodiac with a whopping 5hp! engine.

what do you guys think?
will we be able to foil behind this yacht?
we'll be using a starboard x-wing or rrd pocket rocket.
with a platemounted ptm926.

My son wanted to learn wingfoil, so i set up my Phantasm lower with the 730PFI and PS400. The board was a starboard 100L wing foil board. It took about 9mph behind my jet ski to get him flying. He's about 160 lbs.

So after a windless weekend we got the boat out and gave foiling a go.
It worked great!
in fact it was quite easy and it was a blast.
eventualy crossing from side to side making some speed and taking over the boat.
so had to pump until the rope was taut again.
But a a few horsepower extra would be better for the havier among our group.

But nevertheless serious fun for windless days.
