Sam Green has spent the last season at Club Vass loving spending time on the windfoil and can't wait to share his knowledge this weekend.

Thanks WSS for great demo day. It was great to finally have an opportunity to test drive a wind foil.
I was a bit sceptical about the early planing ability of this gear, but it popped up in 8-10 knots without any pumping or special technique (as I have no technique, it was my first attempt).
Then there was the surreal feeling of being up in the air gliding smoothly and effortlessly without the familiar chattering and wooshing sounds I'm used to hearing.
Then of course the brief moment of bliss was followed by the crash, normally around the front. :). Very very fine trimming required.
For me the real benefit of this gear would be extending my limited sailing time on the days that I can get out. Ie. Get to the beach early, do an hour or two of foiling before the real wind arrives. Then replace the foil with a fin, put a bigger sail on and get into the main course. :)
