Bravo and nice trophy, but ... really ... impressive speeds? Those speed are slower than Pascal Maka's 500 meters windsurf record from 1986. They are a bit better than Crossbow I from 1975!!!! www.sailspeedrecords.com/500-metre

30kts is pretty hard to crack on a foil, there aren't that many people in the world that are capable.

You must be a lot of fun at local 10ks and triathlons. "What was your bike split? Well, you know, Eddy Merckx was faster 40 years ago without aero bars, blah blah blah..."

Yeah, maybe I am not so much fun! 
But as I said: bravo to the pilot. It is very hard to do just 30 knots on a foil (I know of nobody in the Bay Area who can do so). So a lot of congratulations. It's the equipment that I am commenting on: foils right now are slow. Wings even slower. Something has to happen to make them go faster, although I cannot imagine the perils of doing 40 or 50 knots on a foil.
