I managed to have a short WindFoiling session today.
Using a 4.7m sail
125ltr board

The main aim was to survive and ride the ocean swells.
Front foot in the foot straps and back foot over the central area of the foil.
Total distance about 10kms going through the Bunbury shipping channel

have they opened up the beach access to water activities other than swimming down there?

Spent a week down there with a mate (before the foreshore redevelopment) and there were signs all along the public beach that essentially said no boating/launching/water sports etc due to swimmers. Eventually we found the end of the area and rigged just past what was then the end of the car park. Was a nice place to sail for the week. Have to get down there again at some stage this summer.

Easy parking access unrestricted.Rig up on grass and launching no issues.Be mindful of the bulk carriers using the shipping channel.

Map off DoT. There are a couple of areas half way down to the Dolphin Discovery Centre that you're allowed to set off from. You need to adhere to the speed limit until you get past the yellow buoys and keep well away from swimmers that like to do laps up and down the bay. A real shame the the Port Authority closed access to the old power station beach, it was a much better option for avoiding interaction with other beach users
