Crazy how much fun you can have with a foil in such restricted waters ![]()

Foiling opens up places that you would have never even thought of,I like to call these novelty sessions.![]()
Looks nice, easy and fast!! What foil do you use?
I'm normally on a SAB 799/399 combo but in this vid I was riding a demo SAB 899/399 combo
At this spot the wind can be gusty and the boats can provide wind shadows. The 899 was perfect. Good low end, motors through lulls and still super manoeuvrable

Have the 899, as you say great in light gusty conditions. Over 12 knots will change to smaller wing.
Nice riding![]()
Since the green bar is full up, adding my appreciation. Sessions like this almost feel like a dance and it's something a lot of people don't get until they experience it. The movement and turns are so much fun. Windfoil gets unfairly knocked (imho) as not turny which this video shows isn't so.
Thanks for encouraging me to look forward to my next freefoil session. ![]()
Totally agree. Winging has all the hype and how much fun freeride windfoil is has been looked over and most windfoilers seem to be obsessed with speed. When I started foiling I also wanted to go fast, learned on race gear which really hindered me and had lots of massive crashes. I turned my focus to swell chasing and I have never had so much fun on the water. Keep making these vids, inspiring and one day I will have your skills ![]()
Well said, same experience for me. Yes fast upwind/downwind is fun (to start with) but linking and cranking out the carving is what keeps me smiling.
Perhaps similar to snow skiing, going v fast is all very well but most seem to enjoy the turns more?
