Hi, I would like to know opinions about this board for windfoiling in 10-15 knots with small sails for a lightweight. Is it early flyer?, manoeuvrable, uphauling is easy? Thanks

I ordered mine today. But it'll be maybe two weeks before it's actually here and I have a chance to ride it.

The foil size is just as important as the board. I am new to foiling and have a Magic Carpet 120 with a Pryde HP 19 foil i.e. on the large size. In 10-15 knots I would be using a 5.7, changing down to a 5.3 if it was more towards 15 knots. I can uphaul fine. I am 85 kg and not particularly proficient, so you would be fine on my set up. I think you should be OK on the 110, but research the foil too.

Hi, thanks. I usually fly with my traditional windsurfing board 112 l x 73 with usbox tracks in 11 knots, 5?3 sail and 1600 front wing. I hope to maintain this light wind range with the magic carpet 110. I'm sure magic carpet will be much manoeuvrable as it's 40 cm shorter.

One last question, Steve. Can you tack on the magic carpet?

Cheers

Yes Mucel, I can tack OK which is handy as I can't yet jibe! The board is quite wide and stable compared to my 110 slalom naish titan.
A word of caution re. Foil box set up on the magic carpet. For windfoiling you need the deep tuttle set up. The slots for the double US are set further forward and then don't align with the foot straps...i.e. it is hard to keep the board down. I learnt this by experience !

I go strapless so no problem regarding footstraps and distances. Thank you

I received my Magic Carpet 110 2 days ago... Unfortunately, the board arrived without a vent plug. I haven't been able to find one locally, so now I have to wait another week for the plug to arrive from the seller. Ugh.

Cut a cork or similar and shove it in there - you'll be fine for a week.

Did you check if the plug was supplied loose? You make have accidentally thrown it out with the packaging.

Yeah. I thoroughly looked through all the packaging. The board had been on display at the shop I bought it from so it didn't arrive in the original packaging.

I did consider this... as well as duct tape and what not. Ultimately, I was bummed because it has been windy this week. However, something very important came up just yesterday that pushed lesser priorities into next week. So at this rate, I'm fine waiting until Monday for the plug to arrive.
