I like it. I'm on the same gear so was interested at looking at your mast and strap positions. I'm thinking of moving my rear straps back a couple of holes so I can fly with my foot in front of the straps. I'm getting more comfortable but still have a way to go. You're heaps better at tacking than me!
Does the pool noodle work at protecting your board? ThatsT actually not a bad idea...

In my experience noodles will be washed out with first serious dive. They are polyethylene, this stuff has 0 adhesion.
Unless you wrap them with belts that are screwed to board.
I've ended up with laminating around bow with kevlar. This really helps.

The pool noodle was a quick fix initially as I bought the board new (very rare for me to buy new). After the first go I realised that learning to foil is much like learning to windsurf.... over the hangers again and again.
Surprisingly the pool noodle works great. I tested it on an old board first, $3 pool noodle and a some hot glue, perfect. It's lasted 10-12 learning sessions so far and still feels solid. To get it off I just re-heated the glue. It doesn't seem to leave any marks either.
I now have a Fez's Knob so I'm thinking about give the noodle the flick.
Looking good! So cool more people are picking up this aspect of the sport ;). I never believed in the poodle noodle, a friend of mine said the material was too soft and doesn't slow the impact at all, but maybe that's a brand thing (some might be harder than others?) i think I'm gonna try aswell when my new boards get in ;). I almost never crash, only when I'm really tired at the end of the day and a little distracted hahaha, but when I do 10/10 my nose is cracked..
I really want to try the naish combo once! I surfed with 8 different foils up until now, but never the Naish, the brand isn't that big in the Netherlands.

I did not try hot glue. Good idea! I tried tough velcro that sticks to rough surfaces (from Home Depot). It was super sticky. But still noodles came off.

I wonder if you can slit one side of the noodle, open it up a little and fit it on to the front rail towards the nose, and tape the noodle to the deck and underneath side of the board to secure the noodle. This would just be a short, temporary prevention to keep the nose area safe until the learning curve has passed, then the noodle comes off.
I have the same setup but i have the footstraps all the way back and the foil is as far back as possible

What is a Fez's Knob???
Naish setup also, footstraps full forward, foil 2" back from reco, mast base centered, 160lbs. flies super easy.
