Any one tried the new 2023 starboard foil x for wind and wing foiling? It looks like they have combined last year's foil x wing and foil x is it toomuchof a compromise I wounder. Looks interesting stuff tho. ??

I lost interest looking at the foil X because of the double us box only. Those who wants to use their deep tuttle foil ... it's a no go. I don't understand why they went this way .. other brands are mixing both format. And to be honest, it is still more a windfoil oriented gear than a half/half compromise with wingfoil.

I'd avoid the Foil X! Check out the Goya Airbolt, it's much better according to my research.

I did have the same thought's about the lack of deep tutle box on 2023 foil x I'm thinking they are trying to be jack of all trades but master of none is my question. I see one of the many versions of a sealion has both tutle and us box too .

I lost interest looking at the Severne Predator because of the deep tuttle box only. Double us boxes are much better to trim the system. I often have to switch the frontwing when the wind changes from 1000cm2 to 2100cm2.

There are adapters to mount onto the top of the deep tuttle foil, then attach to the board with twin tracks. I see them everywhere. Also the reverse. Recent adapters are plenty strong.

Nice thing about twin tracks, especially the newer extra long ones, is adjustability. With deep tuttle all ya got is footstrap position and u/j position. Also, twin tracks offer the ability to adjust rake with big tapered plates without compromising structural integrity.
