did anyone catch the video presentation of the 2021 Starboard foil slalom range?

l just thought that the whole concept is very very niche market.

Presumably the IQ foilers will stay and practice slalom on their setup, which leaves the PWA guys and gals needing this equipment... but will be on a contract, so won't pay full price.
and then joe public who wants to go quick on a foil

so hands up, who's going to buy a new fuselage, the small slalom wings and the matching thin tail wings at +/- 2deg ?

I'd agree, seems pretty niche. The idea of running slalom when it's too light for course racing does not work that well in reality from my experience. We tried it in the NSW series last year and basically those who have 'the advantage' in the light for course racing have even more of an advantage in slalom.

I guess the PWA is a bit different in that you can now run whatever you want in slalom, foil or fin etc....but yeah that's a tiny market. I can't see that many buying a full foil set just for blasting, but I could be wrong. Also once you hit 26, 27kts+ on the foil, it's sketchy as haha.
