Got new gong v3 ypra slalom L, had ypra v2 that has distance between leading edge of front wing and trailing edge of stabilizer 75 cm, new one is 62 cm.,
I brought my foil all the way forward and sail track a little back. Overall feels good, speed, stability and turning a lot less physical. The only posible issue I persive, taking off takes more effort in super light conditions. Any ideas, experience??
I got the Ypra Slalom XS as my smallest foil (beside Fluid M & XL - all V3 foils + stabs).I still didn't manage to test it properly but my first impression is that I need to have a lot of power on taking off and that I still need to pump like crazy, with both the wing (hands) and the foil (legs). Of course, the new foil is much smaller than my next foil (Fluid M is 910 cm2 while Ypra Slalom XS is 600 cm2).
The Ypra Slalom XS stab will probably help a bit, my first ride was using a Fluid XS stab.If someone has a hint that could help me to learn to pump this foil better, all suggestions are welcome :)@miamiwindsurfe - Did it get better with time?

Nope, new YPRA slalom is very sensitive to stall/start speed and weeds/chop ...comparing to Veloce, Fluid , Veloce in between and Fluid is the most fun, forgiving,,,, all V3. The only thing I haven't tried is YPRA front wing with fluid stab, will see

I tried Ypra Slalom V3 XS (600 cm2) with both the Ypra Slalom XS stab and with the Fluid XS stab. I like it much more with the Ypra Slalom XS stab. With the Ypra Slalom stab, it is more stable, and I like more stability when I ride small foils. It is still much harder to start than Fluid V3 M (910 cm2), but it is much smaller, so it is expected. However, when there is more wind, it is not a problem to foil out. I do need a bit more time to foil out - I just need to wait a bit more to achieve foiling speed, and need to pump a bit more, but with enough wind it goes quite easily. On flat water, it seems to be easier to start. It is hard for me to say how much wind I need for Ypra Slalom XS, but I would guess it is not much more than 15 kts.
