I can't say what my absolute speed was, but I tried out an Alien/Redwing 1400 last week, (also tried an IQ) and found it to be at least as fast as my own Taaroa 1250, with better, more balanced feel and a slightly smoother and earlier rise. It's definitely slower than the IQFoil 900 wing though. My top measured speed on the Taaroa so far is 24mph although it's possible I've gone slightly faster - I don't wear a GPS watch but had borrowed one to try a speed run. It's worth mentioning that I weigh 100kg so I feel comfortable on bigger wings than lighter sailors might.

The mast on the 1400 didn't feel as stiff as my shorter, all-carbon Taaroa, but I kinda liked the slight flexiness.

I've done 20kts crashing and 19kts under control. I think you could go 1 or 2 kts faster with the right technique.
