I am thinking of getting this Sabfoil W1110 as the possibly earliest flying fast wing that I can get for Windsurf foiling. I already have the mast, so "only" need to get the Wing + fuse + stab. I already have the NeilPryde Flight F4 Race foil in "size M" (90cm span, 870 cm2), and would like a wing that would take off even earlier. This foil has really low resistance, but seems to need 12+ kn. Getting hold of the "size L" (100cm, 1010 cm2) was my main idea, but have had no luck in finding one in my part of the world (Europe).

I also have the Sabfoil 950 as another semi-early flyer, but have read that the 1110 is much faster with much better glide.

Any relevant experiences?

You could send Bruce at Sailworks an email,he sells a lot of Sab foils. I have a friend that is a heavier guy and uses that wing for windfoil.

I used the w1110 a couple of times for wind foil and it felt like a bigger w800 (which is a well respected slalom/race foil). I ain't a very good high aspect/bigger sail/wide board rider but I was hitting 17-18 kts in 10-15 kts of breeze

My light wind front wing is the W1110 with the S399 stab and can fly from 9 knots with a 5.7 sail (I'm 80 kilo) that gives me good top end but then change up front wing to W1000 for the next level speed (for me). I find the 1110 super smooth and comfortable (for me) until you try to push it above 20 knots after trying alot of different kit over last few years the W1110,W1000 and S399 is my happy place to be going out to play

The W1110 is in the Mail. Thanks for your experiences and input. I plan to start with the S430 stab. Might have to get the S399, or maybe it is S395 nowadays.

Sure, but winter soon. So update won't be until April or May.

Finally got the W1110 on the water with S430 pro stab on a 103 mast (F1003K fuse) with a Foilglide 3 7m (minimum down/out-haul => pretty deep profile) on my JP Hydrofoil 135 Pro in borderline conditions 6-8 kn. Was flying just 3 minutes through the 50 min session. Not sure whether the S395 pro stab would have been better (faster). Conclusion: I need to improve my pumping and condition to withstand heavy pumping over longer periods...or see if my W1100 gives better results.

Next day... approx same wind (maybe a knot less) - trying the W1100 with a 480 pro stab and F903K fuse on same mast, sail and board. No flying at all. The W1100 did seem to provide more water resistance - I did not get much speedup with the sail pumping from in front of the straps, and I found it difficult to balance the pumping in the straps without any positive feedback and speedup of the board. Max board speed was 4.5 kn.

Next time, I will try - in desperation - my good old Ezzy Cheetah 8.5 with the W1110. Or... I might try to increase the outhaul of the Foilglide to see if that can make it more "springy" (sail felt a little dead). I do have an older and thicker 85 (Moses) mast which I did not try - assuming that the 103 mast is thinner and faster, and that height gives longer glides in low wind.

Any suggestions?
