Curious to know, peoples options if the 1800 redwing is too big with a Alien 125.

Plus peoples experiences with a Foilglide 8m on an Alien 125

Thanks in advance

I have the alien 120 i ride a lot with sab w999 (1750cm2), love it. Biggest sail is 6.0 foilglide. Sold the 7.0 beause it is cumbersome. The 1800 redwing should be in the same class. A very good combi is 4.8 foilfreek with the 999, so easy to ride and jibe. Give the 1800 a try.

I have the Alien 125, 1400 wing and 7.0 FG. It's a good combo. I agree with PatK that the 1800 would work as well but Severne recommend the 7FG as the largest sail for the 125 and I would agree.

I generally use the 1400 front wing with a starboard 111L foil board. After using larger sails in the past, as I've gotten better, the biggest sail i ever use is a 5.4m. This is even in marginal winds. Anything larger feels cumbersome and unbalanced. As you progress and get better at pumping, you begin to realise that you only need a small sail to get you up onto the foil, this is the beauty of a free ride foil and small board.

I've also recently bought the 1000 front wing which is great fun. Still easy to gybe but faster.

The 1400 is so easy and fun I wonder why anybody would need the 1800? I guess if you are a heavyweight it would make sense.

Depends on your spot. And weight, yes.
