Looking for feedback on pfi 730, ptm 926, ptm 684.
how does the 730 compare to the infinity 76?
looking to upgrade and go with a two wing quiver.
730&684 ? Or 926 & 684 ? Or neither ? I am looking to stick with SS.
My .02,
730 is faster, more glide and less lifty at speed than the I76. I couldn't tell that low end was any different. Easy early take off with a low stall speed. High wind is easier to manage foil out. Great dynamic range. I'm considering adding the 825 for days when we have sustained high winds (rare though).
I would add that the carbon mast makes a huge difference in control. I ran the 730 on both the hoverglide aluminum mast to compare with the carbon mast. Huge difference.
PTM926 is an unbelievable front wing, I use it for wind foiling in 8-15mph and wing foiling in 12-22mph. Have spent hundreds of hours now on this foil, cannot say enough great things about it. It has great low-end chug but also turns very well in all kinds of transitions.
PFI730 is a refined version of the infinity 76, the i76 is a fantastic wing but sometimes had a touch too much lift at times and so the PFI730 just has a more polished feel without the pitch battle, it's also seriously quick for a low aspect front wing and I have got over 23 mph on it with a 5.0.
PTM684 it's in my foil bag but have yet to test it yet.
I made a couple of videos explaining more (BTW when I made the PFI730 video was first time I had COVID19 just in case anyone thought I was talking a bit breathy, lol)
I can only compare the 76/99 to the 926 as I haven't tried the 730.
The foil-out behavior that WsurfAustin mentions of the 76 was a reason I changed to the 926. The 926 has better low end and feel, but has a much more sudden stall and drop. I think it also gets better angles overall. I didn't believe the low end power until I had a buddy with the 926 also try my 76 and he had a harder time getting going than on the 926. On carving and riding waves effectively I'm still learning but in the same light wind stuff I get more time on foil with the 926 than the 76. I got the Aluminum 103 Wide mast and I feel it flexing some.
Agree with WsurfAustin the 730 is a great low aspect wing but the 103W makes all the difference. For lighter wind go the PTM 926 or the new G series hope to have the G800 soon!
Thanks guys..I think I am sold on the 926. The one shop I was asking about the wings.they said the 730 and 684 would be too much overlap.
what would be the smallest board or narrowest board you think you can use the 926 on? Can you use the wizard 114L @ 66cm wide with the 926 wing ? Too narrow ?

I know someone, think he's about 175lbs, rides the 926 and wizard 114l pretty well. Flies some of his jibes and tries carving swell. Can't say anything other than that.

PTM 926 is working perfect on the Wizard 114,
I use this set up all the time from 5.9 to 3.4, in any condition ( + used the same board / foil when I was doing the wing foiling )
Like CoreAS mentioned, PTM 926 is pretty much my go to set up 95% of the time.

Great..you guys helped me out a lot on the wings .thanx ??
btw.according to SS new boards (wizards and I think freestyle ) should be coming out in December . Who know when they will be available/in stock.
